One of the Only Yellow Climbing Roses

Why Lady Banks Climbing Roses?

Nearly two centuries of rich blooming history sets the Lady Banks Climbing Rose apart from the competition. Blanketing your garden in unparalleled, soft yellow color, Lady Banks is in a league of her own.

It was discovered in China and brought to England in 1824…and hasn’t been matched since. Its classic climbing form is made unbelievably beautiful by the sheer number of yellow roses, emerging like sunlight to brighten up any landscape with ease.

In fact, tens of thousands of violet-scented roses welcome every spring, reminiscent of glossy front-page features in your favorite home magazines. And Yellow Lady Banks will thrive for generations – after all, it’s an heirloom variety that has stood the test of time!

A mature Lady Banks offers up to 50,000 blooms in just one season! Imagine fully double roses stuffed with layer after layer of butter-yellow petals. Plus, they bloom earlier than most climbers, beginning in mid-spring and continuing for weeks at a time. The Yellow Lady delivers color and sweet scents you can bank on for years to come.

Deer aren’t attracted to your Lady Banks, and rough weather, as well as intense drought, is no match to its sturdy blooms – it’s no wonder why it received the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticulture Society, the highest honor awarded to cultivars in Great Britain. It’s one of the few roses that’s drought-tolerant from day one – even before establishment!

Even better? This rambling rose is almost thornless. And once it starts blooming, it doesn’t stop! Its tall, spreading habit is well-suited for tall trellises, large arbors, and porch pergolas. You can train it to thrive in almost any location, and it will reward you with years of intoxicating aroma plus voluminous, vivid roses.

Why Fast-Growing-Trees.com is Better

Not only are yellow rose varieties difficult to find at your local garden center, but perfectly-formed, fragrant yellow roses? It’s impossible. And most of the bare-root varieties at these big-box retailers don’t even have fragrance or full blooms because they’ve been bred for disease resistance only.

That’s why rose connoisseurs order from Fast Growing Trees.

When you order your Lady Banks from Fast Growing Trees, you get a rose that’s bred for beauty, strong growth and healthy roots. You won’t have to compromise and buy bare-root plants with canes dipped in wax. Now, you get an unrivaled rose that arrives at your door with robust roots, potted in nutrient-rich soil.

If you’re buying a bare-root from big-box, it takes years to get blooms from the Lady Banks. But with our huge 3-gallon size, you could get blooms as soon as the first season!

The Lady Banks Climbing Rose is centuries in the making, developed to perfection by experts. Don’t wait – order your Lady Banks Climbing Rose today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Choose a spot with well-drained soil and full sun (6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day).

Plant your rose in a hole twice as wide but just as deep as the root ball. Water immediately to establish roots. Add a 3-inch layer of mulch around the surrounding soil.

If you’re planting in a container, select a pot that’s about twice the size of your plant’s shipped container and use organic soil. Place your rose, water to settle its roots, and find a sunny spot on your porch or patio to place your container.

2. Watering: Water weekly, or check the surrounding soil. When the soil is dry about 3 inches down, it’s time to water your rose.

If your rose is container-planted, water until you see it flowing from the drainage holes at the bottom.

3. Fertilizing: Feed with a liquid rose fertilizer, once in the spring and once in the summer. Follow the instructions on the package.

4. Pruning: Other than for shaping purposes, no pruning is required for your Lady Banks Rose.
